FAQs
What is it?
Our Maintenance system is designed to keep your car clean for the entire year without having much worry. You’ll have to carve out a few hours every few weeks, and you’ll have to pay more than a regular car wash, but you get to own a vehicle that is essentially always as clean as it was the day it left the showroom floor.
What’s the point? Aren’t ceramic coatings meant to keep my car clean?
Ceramic Coatings add a smooth and thin layer of glass over your vehicle’s paint. This makes the vehicle look VERY glossy when it is clean. It actually aids in your car’s ability to not get dirty. A coated car can get just as dirty, but it makes cleaning the car much easier, reducing a 2 hour wash and detail to maybe just 40 minutes. This is why it makes more sense to get your car detailed regularly with some form of paint protection.
Why not just go to a car wash?
It is common to hear that car washes are not good for car paint, but what does that mean?
Every time your vehicle is put through an automatic car wash, the bristles of the brushes in the car wash pick up and carry dirt and grime across your paint- inducing hundreds of micro scratches that build up over time. This is what gives darker cars their swirls that you notice in the sun. Believe it or not- those swirls are hundreds of little scratches that make your paint shallow and lighter. Getting your car polished can remove those scratches, giving a deeper tone of color to the paint of your vehicle. That is the biggest reason good detailers recommend to have your car professionally detailed regularly instead of going to an automatic car wash.
